Kennametal Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift (3PM - 11PM) to operate post-coat wetblast machines and handle carbide inserts. You will set up, run, train, and troubleshoot equipment while ensuring quality per procedures and visual standards.

Responsibilities include counting inserts, programming setups, monitoring pressures, and performing routine maintenance. Strong math, blueprint reading, and team communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to read defect criteria, insert IDs, blueprints, routings and procedures.
• Experience using SAP MII and QMS systems.
• Able to handle inserts without chipping and use a 30X microscope.
• Must communicate with setup staff, inspectors and supervisors.
• Proficiency within eight weeks and training on insert identification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, train and troubleshoot post-coat wetblast machines.
• Load and unload carbide inserts into automated wetblast equipment.
• Verify incoming inserts, count and confirm accuracy.
• Set up orders using programs, processes and trays.
• Operate in automated or manual mode as required.
• Observe automation and ensure processing matches standards.
• Verify visual characteristics and blast outcomes.
• Adjust pressures/times on blaster; monitor processes.
• Scan correct information and perform periodic maintenance.
