Job summary

Mittera is seeking a first-shift maintenance supervisor in Beaver Dam, WI to lead technical support for web press operations. You will direct technicians, schedule preventive maintenance, troubleshoot downtime, and ensure safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance for presses, dryers, and related systems; partnering with operators to reduce recurring issues; and maintaining records of work orders and downtime for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably supporting web offset/printing equipment.
• One or more years of lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead first-shift maintenance activities for web presses and associated production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose root causes, and coordinate safe, effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Develop, schedule, and verify preventive and predictive maintenance for presses, dryers, chill systems, folders, splicers, conveyors, pumps, motors, drives, and related equipment.
• Partner with press operators and production leaders to resolve recurring mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and print-process issues.
• Ensure lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hot-work, confined-space, and other applicable safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records, parts usage, downtime data, and shift handoff notes.
• Monitor critical spare-parts inventory and coordinate purchases, vendor service, and outside repairs.
• Support equipment installations, rebuilds, upgrades, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Communicate equipment status, risks, completed work, and priorities to production and maintenance leadership.
• Provide emergency maintenance support outside scheduled hours when required.
