Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor to oversee efficient and safe operation of the warehouse. You will ensure orders are processed and materials received per SOPs, develop improved procedures, and ensure schedules align with deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, coordinating with production, and resolving shipping/receiving issues, while upholding safety policies and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• 3+ years warehouse supervisory experience.
• 3+ years warehouse experience.
• Understanding of shipping/receiving processes and equipment.
• Ability to read shipping records and production schedules.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and bar code RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Distribute labor to optimize order processing.
• Prepare daily work zone schedules and overtime.
• Ensure material received/shipped meets quality specs.
• Lead and motivate warehouse staff; train new hires.
• Communicate with management and staff regularly.
• Manage shipping/receiving issues and scheduling.
• Ensure DOT and customer shipping requirements.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain employee records and timecards.
