Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience or more.
• 3+ years of warehouse experience or more.
• In depth understanding of shipping and receiving processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to read and prepare shipping and receiving records/reports and comprehend production schedules/pick sheets.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead in a team based culture.
• The ability to follow-up on employee issues and brings employee conflicts to a satisfactory resolution.

Responsibilities

• Distribute labor evenly to process orders efficiently.
• Complete daily employee work zone schedules and overtime as needed.
• Ensure material received and shipped meets quality specs.
• Provide guidance to warehouse staff to accomplish daily tasks.
• Maintain open communication with management and staff.
• Lead shift start-up meetings and weekly updates.
• Ensure new hire training is current and completed.
• Make decisions on shipping/receiving issues.
• Delegate responsibilities as needed.
• Observe and evaluate warehouse processes and staff.
• Schedule vacations and track attendance.
• Maintain accurate records and files.
• Lead by example and motivate teams.
• Ensure DOT-compliant loading of outbound freight.
• Handle daily employee issues and provide tactful feedback.
• Assist with special projects and cost savings initiatives.
• Coordinate product needs with production for shipping.
• Assist with hiring decisions and employee transfers.
• Schedule hours and close out timecards.
• Evaluate employee performance and conduct discipline.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
