Job summary

NSI Industries seeks a Warehouse Lead for first shift in Huntersville, NC. You will guide Warehouse Associates across inbound, packaging, and outbound activities, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping using handheld scanners and the WMS.

The role requires at least 5 years in a distribution center, a high school diploma, and forklift certification preferred. You will train staff, supervise safety, and collaborates with other departments to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• At least 5 years of distribution center experience.
• Proficient in WMS and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to Warehouse Associates in Inbound, Packaging, and Outbound.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of orders using handheld scanners and WMS.
• Oversee product receiving, unloading freight containers, breaking down pallets, and sorting by SKU.
• Conduct checks of customer orders, identify errors, and ensure safe transportation.
• Handle complex WMS tasks such as cycle counts, inventory adjustments, item data management, international shipping, and returns management.
• Operate and train team on forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and packaging machinery.
• Train and mentor team members in receiving, order pulling, shipping, packaging, and WMS.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth operations and process improvements.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization in the work area.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
