Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Team Lead 1st Shift to guide the Production Line team, drive safety, quality, and cost improvements, and act as a change agent to boost performance and engagement.

You will lead daily meetings, coach staff, manage training needs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations, with opportunities to travel to other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assigned Production Line team in safety, quality, and cost.
• Be a safety champion and address safety issues immediately.
• Evaluate and coordinate training needs and efforts of production team members for current processes.
• Evaluate daily staffing against the production schedule to maximize line output.
• Coach and monitor performance with feedback and appraisals.
• Lead daily team meetings and complete shift paperwork.
• Communicate information effectively to members and coaches.
• Lead process improvement initiatives on the line.
• Willingness to spend time on other shifts for training.
