Job summary
Velosity Brooklyn Park is seeking a Swiss Machinist II to support our medical parts manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN on the 1st shift. The role involves set ups and operation of Swiss Machines up to 9 axes, following work instructions and set up sheets, while maintaining quality per the quality manual.
The position offers a Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm schedule, a pay range of $30.00-$39.00 per hour plus a 5% quarterly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical,
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; certificate preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years CNC Swiss machining experience, ideally in medical device manufacturing.
- Able to perform independent setups and troubleshooting; must read English and perform shop math.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss machines up to 9 axes per instructions.
- Monitor and ensure quality per the quality manual; document issues.
- Maintain records in ERP; record scrap and nonconformances as needed.
- Assist level 1 machinist and support production rate; communicate needs.
- Read QC data, perform offsets and tool changes to maintain tolerances.
