Job summary

Nolte Precise Manufacturing in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a 1st Shift Shipping and Receiving Technician to verify shipments, prepare items for shipment, and keep precise records on all incoming and outgoing freight.

You will operate a forklift or hand truck to move product, load and unload shipments, and communicate with carriers to coordinate pickups and special handling. Attention to safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling and forklift operation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Crane/hoist experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Compares identifying information on counts, weights or measures for shipments against bills of lading, packing lists, orders or other records.
• Determines method of shipment, considering routes and rates.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and identifies destination and method of shipment.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Requisitions shipping materials to ensure supply on hand.
• May operate forklift or use hand truck to move product.
• Loads, unloads and stores materials and supplies within or near the plant.
• Prepares items for shipping by picking, banding, strapping or padding.
