Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in New York, NY, seeks a Quality Technician on 1st shift to perform high-voltage product tests and ensure safety and quality standards. You will inspect bushings, document data, and aid in continuous improvement while coordinating with production teams.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; Associate degree in Electrical Engineering a plus.
• Experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to apply them to analyze component specifications and data.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear reporting.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to evolving production needs.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards in all aspects of work.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect high-voltage bushings to prescribed standards and record performance data.
• Manage your workflow and perform test/inspection tasks to align with production timelines.
• Audit components and materials (e.g., transformer oil, epoxy resin) for quality benchmarks.
• Operate test equipment and connect circuits for high-voltage testing of bushings.
• Document all test data, create certification reports, and maintain QA databases.
• Troubleshoot test circuits when results are questionable.
• Communicate significant quality issues for corrective actions.
• Serve as a key contact for customers during tests, providing documentation and insights.
• Identify and communicate quality issues, driving continuous improvement across operations.
• Willing to work overtime as needed and perform other duties.
