Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Le Roy, IL is seeking a Quality Technician on 1st shift to ensure the highest quality of high-voltage bushings and related components. You will perform product quality checks that meet safety and regulatory standards, documenting data and collaborating with production teams.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, mathematical analysis, and clear reporting, with a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
• Experience in a related field or equivalent education.
• Strong math skills for analyzing component specifications and data.
• Excellent written communication and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect high-voltage bushings and products to standards, recording performance data.
• Manage test and inspection tasks independently to meet production timelines.
• Audit components and materials like transformer oil and epoxy resin for quality.
• Operate test equipment and connect circuits for high voltage testing of bushings.
• Document test data and create certification reports; update QA databases.
• Troubleshoot test circuits when results are unclear.
• Communicate significant quality issues for corrective actions.
• Serve as key contact for customers during tests with documentation.
• Identify and communicate quality issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Occasionally work overtime based on business needs.
• All other duties assigned.
