Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. in Brownsville, TX is hiring a Quality Inspector Level 2 to support the first shift on a one-month contract at full-time hours.

You will inspect components, assemblies, and raw materials to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications, using borescopes and precision instruments. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience, can read manufacturing drawings, and is familiar with GD&T.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and standards.
• Experience with borescopes and GD&T knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Operate precision measuring instruments and borescopes for inspections on tubes and other parts.
• Identify workmanship issues and defects such as burrs, scratches, loose hardware, and edge distance problems.
• Categorize nonconformities and ensure corrective actions or rework are completed.
• Verify shipping docs for accuracy, including part numbers, serial numbers, and change notices.
