Job summary

SQA Services, a global leader in supplier quality services, is seeking a Quality Inspector Level 2 in Brownsville, TX. You will support the first shift on a one-month contract with full-time hours, performing detailed inspections of components, assemblies, and materials to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quality inspection, solid GD&T knowledge, and experience with borescopes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and standards.
• Hands-on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have beenproperly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.

$28 - $32 an hour
