Job summary

Pilgrims is seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Technician to join a fast-paced production environment. You will monitor HACCP, perform AQLs, moisture tests, and grade checks per QA supervisor guidelines. Ideal candidates will be hands-on leaders who drive quality and safety across operations.

The role emphasizes following USDA standards, maintaining clean work areas, and contributing to continuous improvement in a safety-focused culture. Base salary is listed with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to address routine issues involving a limited number of variables within established procedures.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures of approximately 40°F.
• Ability to work in a heated environment with temperatures of approximately 85°F.

Responsibilities

• Processes product using tools (to include knives), manual labor, and equipment provided in accordance with USDA and Pilgrims Company product standards and procedures.
• Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
• Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
• Clean and organized work area.
• Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
• Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams.
• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
