Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is hiring a Production Operator for the 1st shift (6:30 AM–2:30 PM). The role requires loading components into automated assembly, recording production data, and ensuring quality per instructions.

The operator will use PLEX, label parts, document issues, and maintain a clean work area. Preferred candidates have a High School diploma and 6 months of manufacturing experience, with basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret operator instructions, inspection sheets, and quality alerts.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Load inventory into the cell using PLEX and document production.
• Record production, pack per instruction, and label parts.
• Escalate down machinery and quality issues to leaders or supervisors.
• Document inspection results and non-conformances.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support audits.
• Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
• Cross-train on various work centers as required.
