Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing, Northlake, TX, is seeking a 1st shift production associate to set up and operate resistance spot welders and power presses, trim and shape parts, and monitor quality. You will inspect parts, document workflow, and ensure adherence to the Quality Policy while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

The role requires standing for 8–10 hours, reading and following work instructions, and participating in safety and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and perform essential functions.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Following work instructions, safety procedures and company communications is essential.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates resistance spot welders and/or power press to weld, trim, punch, shape, notch, draw or crimp stock.
• Inspects parts for conformance to specifications and discusses non-conformances with a team leader or quality inspector.
• Cleans machines and completes required paperwork to track workflow and operators.
• Packs parts and ensures material flow; starts press and monitors for misalignment or malfunctions.
• Performs housekeeping and participates in quality and safety processes.
