Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Production Operator in Wisconsin to join a team-focused manufacturing line. You will follow SOPs, set up line equipment, and complete maintenance orders while ensuring product quality and safety on a 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday schedule. Prior manufacturing and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of forklift driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures and recipes.
• Set up line following established equipment settings.
• Fill out maintenance work orders and assist Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Maintain quality of product on production line by ensuring product standards are being followed.
• Continually monitor product, to detect and resolve issues utilizing CI tools; track and/or fill out metrics required to close out production work orders.
• Aid in minimizing/elimination of process wastes using CI tools.
• Maintain good housekeeping as established by Operator Duty Sheets and identify gaps and areas for improvement.
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Support Continuous Improvement expansion by participating and adhering to requirements as established by equipment/area sustainment boards.
• Flexible, open minded team player.
• Follow all safety rules and rules as established in employee handbook.

Under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor and/or Line Lead, the Production Operator is accountable for performing required tasks necessary to meet production goals on a production line in a team oriented environment. This is done with an emphasis on the following:

• Follow standard operating procedures and recipes
• Set up line following established equipment settings
• Fill out maintenance work orders and assists Maintenance Technicians as needed
• Maintain quality of product on production line by ensuring product standards are being followed
• Continually monitor product, to detect and resolve issues utilizing CI tools
  Track and/or fill out metrics required to accurately close out production work orders
• Aid in minimizing/elimination of process wastes using CI tools
• Maintain good housekeeping as established by Operator Duty Sheets and identify gaps and areas for improvement
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance (CILT clean, lube, inspect, and tighten) on production equipment
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Support Continuous Improvement expansion by participating and adhering to requirements as established by equipment/area sustainment boards
• Flexible, open minded team player
• Follow all safety rules and rules as established in employee handbook

The hours for this position are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
