Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a 1st shift supervisor to manage manufacturing operations, material movements, and workforce planning to meet customer requirements. The role emphasizes integrating production control, supervision, and problem-solving to drive performance and first-pass yield, with daily handoffs to the 2nd shift supervisor.

The supervisor will lead a team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining accurate reporting and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
• Oversee the set-up and operation of assigned team/shift based.
• Make informed and intelligent decisions and improvise in the absence of instruction (lead a team independently after normal business hours have ended).
• Ensure standard work, policies, and procedures are followed on the shift.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and determine the cause of performance gaps using collaborative data knowledge and creative problem-solving skills.
• Document/report all production and quality requirements and any performance gaps.
• Maintain inventory control and transactions across manufacturing.
• Ensure team is punctual and productive.
