Jobot is seeking an experienced Press Brake Setup Technician in Illinois to join the first-shift team. You will independently set up, program, adjust, and operate press brake equipment to produce precision sheet metal components.

Qualifications

• Five years of press brake setup and operating experience preferred.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently set up equipment with minimal supervision.
• Strong blueprint-reading and precision measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate press brake machines.
• Install, align, and change tooling based on job specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Verify angles, dimensions, bend sequences, and completed parts.
• Use calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot process issues, clear alarms, and make minor machine adjustments.
• Complete first-piece and periodic quality inspections.
• Minimize scrap while meeting production and quality requirements.
• Train and assist operators with machine operation, inspection, and setup procedures.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all machine-guarding and workplace safety requirements.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
