Horton, Inc. in Westminster, SC is seeking a Packer (Single Pack) for the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 7:30am–5:30pm) with occasional overtime. The role involves packing according to work instructions and coordinating with the shift supervisor. Start pay is $19.50 per hour and depends on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform each duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to work well in a group and individually.
• Some degree of mechanical aptitude may be required.
• US work authorization; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow instructions on routings and work instructions for each job.
• Check stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assembly, parts and any other items needed.
• Complete all departmental paperwork, such as routings, assembly tickets, production status sheets and daily checklists.
• Responsible for the safe operation of machinery used for pre-assembly components.
• Perform frequent quality checks with inspection tools as directed by management.
• May fill in as Operator in other departments as directed/rotated.
• Train new operators as needed.
• Practice 6S and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
