Job summary

Industrial Hardwood Products Inc in Hastings, MN is seeking an Assistant Mill Supervisor (1st Shift) to lead the Mill department and support the Mill Supervisor. You will guide on-floor staff, enforce safety, and help meet production and quality goals.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to read a tape measure, and basic computer skills. The work schedule runs 4:30am–3:15pm, with potential for extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Lead and direct employees within the Mill department.
• Ability to read a tape measure and communicate effectively.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 1 year is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead: direct employees in Mill department; on-floor position.
• Safety: enforce safety rules; monitor hazards; assist safety programs.
• Efficiency: optimize production processes to meet goals.
• Quality: verify parts using QA program.
• Department Functions: support department tasks and inventory.
• Maintenance: ensure equipment is maintained.
• Shift Transitions: organize shift handoffs.
• Assist Mill Supervisor as needed.
• Meet Elevated Attendance Standards.
