Job summary

Forma-Fab Metals in Mebane, NC is seeking a 1st Shift General Labor-Shake Out to remove metal parts from sheet metal after laser cutting and to prep them for finishing. This full-time role runs Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with overtime as needed.

You must lift up to 50 lbs, stand up to 10 hours, and follow all safety procedures with provided PPE. High school diploma or GED is required; sheet metal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Sheet metal experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and solid work ethic.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Remove (shake/punch out) metal parts from sheet metal after laser cutting
• Sort and dispose of scrap metal properly
• Load finished parts onto pallets and transport materials using a pallet jack
• Occasionally operate power tools such as grinders
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Follow safety procedures and wear the provided PPE
• Work closely with team members to keep production moving efficiently
• Assist in other areas as needed
