Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a Metal Finisher I for the 1st shift to perform finishing operations per job orders, including deburring, hand grinding, polishing, and edge breaks. You will also handle sand blasting, visual inspections, and equipment setup while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include counting parts, applying production approvals when required, and contributing to 5S and lean practices in a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience using hand tools, sanders, and grinders is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic finishing operations including deburring, hand grinding, and polishing and break edges.
• Operate sand blast cabinet and select appropriate blasting media for operations.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure surface finishes meet specifications and blueprints.
• Set up and operate finishing equipment correctly and safely.
• Acquire Production Approval when specified on the job router or work order.
• Count parts before starting work and after completion.
