Job summary

Tecomet United States is seeking a finishing/operator for metal removal to achieve specified finishes on parts. You will select abrasives and mount them, operate equipment, and inspect parts for conformance in a safe, clean work environment.

Responsibilities include reading basic blueprints, using calipers/micrometers/CMM for verification, and following continuous improvement practices. GED is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Basic GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret simple measurements and specs.
• Basic computer usage for data entry and instruction access.

Responsibilities

• Selects abrasive belts or wheels based on finish required and material removed.
• Attaches wheel or belt to drive mechanism and starts equipment.
• Operates equipment to remove metal and surface defects while ensuring quality finishes.
• Inspects part for finish acceptability using overlays or inspection equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety in the work area.
