Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. in Northbrook, IL (60062) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our flavor manufacturing plant. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and optimizing production equipment with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

You will work with CMMS, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, and facility systems. Overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts may be required in a fast-paced GMP environment.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
3+ years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with 110V, 208V, 460V 3‑phase systems.
Familiarity with PLCs and reading electrical/mechanical diagrams.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose issues, identify root causes, implement repairs, and upgrade equipment as needed.
Read blueprints/schematics; follow CMMS to document activities.
Follow safety protocols including LOTO and electrical safety standards.
Maintain spare parts inventory and provide backup support as needed.
