Job summary

Amsted Automotive in Sterling Heights, MI seeks two experienced Maintenance Electricians for the 1st shift (7am–3pm). You will maintain presses, conveyors, and related equipment to keep manufacturing running safely and efficiently in a busy plant.

You will read schematics, perform repairs on motors and controls, and support lean initiatives and continuous improvement. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Technical training or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with stamping presses, conveyors, CNCs and related machinery.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of presses and equipment across the plant.
• Adjust, repair, or replace motors, controls, and electrical equipment.
• Support assembly and press departments; assist in press setups and lean improvements.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and safe electrical practices.
• Manage PM tasks, corrective actions, and improvements to assigned equipment.
