Job summary

Amsted Automotive, Sterling Heights, is seeking a Press Operator for the 1st shift (7:00 am - 3:00 pm). You will set up and operate line dies, including transfer dies, in stamping presses to support production goals.

Responsibilities include quality checks, 5S adherence, SAP labeling, and continuous improvement activities. Prior experience in automotive production and knowledge of press operations are required.

Qualifications

• Requires at least three months of knowledge of press and feeder operations.
• Usage of a computer and other productivity machinery such as control panels.
• Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria.
• Experience in a fast paced, automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stamping presses to meet production goals.
• Part of the set up/changeover team.
• Perform quality checks and notify issues.
• Maintain 5S standards and clean, safe work areas.
• Record daily production reporting and downtime visually.
