Job summary
Carrier in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a 1st Shift Production Maintenance Mechanic to own the reliability of mechanical systems at our furnace plant. This unionized site offers stable hours, competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
You will inspect, modify, fabricate, install and repair industrial machinery, with overtime opportunities and a Monday-Thursday schedule. The role requires a HS diploma or GED, a Journeyman's Card or a skilled trades apprenticeship, and 2+ years in industrial
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and pass Industrial Assessment Test (70%+).
- High School Diploma or GED and hold a Journeyman's Card.
- High School Diploma or GED and completed a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship for machine repair.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Willing to complete Carrier safety programs and work extensive overtime.
Responsibilities
- Keep machines and equipment in efficient operating condition.
- Inspect machines and perform preventive maintenance.
- Dismantle, move and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Modify, fabricate, and install industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.
- Follow site safety rules and EHS training.
