Job summary

Aerotek seeks a General Machine Operator for its Grand Rapids, MI site. You will operate tumblers, stamp presses, and saws, setting up and maintaining equipment to meet daily production goals. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and independent work in a fast-paced setting.

The position runs first shift, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with employer-provided benefits and weekly pay. You will contribute to quality control and continuous improvement efforts in a fully onsite

Qualifications

• Experience as a general machine operator in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate tumblers, stamp presses, and saws.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for setup and maintenance.
• Ability to read basic prints or production instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot simple issues.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate general machines (tumblers, stamp presses, saws) in pin department.
• Set up and adjust equipment using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Process pin orders accurately and on time.
• Inspect parts and maintain quality control.
• Document work clearly on order tags.
• Plan small projects related to production and equipment.
