Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Forklift Operator for the Fortify Building Solutions team in Ballinger, TX. The role starts on 1st shift (7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Mon–Fri) with potential for overtime and requires forklift certification after training.

Base pay is $16.42 per hour. Responsibilities include float loading, material handling, and keeping equipment in safe, working order while maintaining accurate ERP updates. Must be 18+, with HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane after training.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform float loading activities to optimize multiple loads for delivery coordination.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane and related tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure machinery and equipment operate properly and safely.
• Complete orders accurately, timely and without damage.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery and tools.
• Assist with inventory management and ERP data updates.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments and lubrication as needed.
• Adhere to all PPE requirements and safety protocols.
• Support other duties as assigned.
