Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician to ensure top standards of food safety and product quality in our manufacturing facility.

You will perform inspections, document results, and take corrective actions in collaboration with plant personnel. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related QA experience, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in cold/hot environments with overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry or QA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
• Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Math and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Must function well under stress.
• Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Document and calculate results accurately.
• Take corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
• Handle additional assignments as requested.
