Seneca Foods Corporation in Hart, Michigan is hiring for a 1st Shift General Labor Processing position. The role supports processing operations Monday-Friday, starting early morning hours, with a pay rate of $19.43 per hour.

The job focuses on hands-on tasks, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced food production environment. As a team member, you will perform tote handling, cleaning, equipment checks, palletizing, and quality checks while following safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math and clear communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare totes for processing by removing covers and opening bags prior to loading tank.
• Repair and/or reject totes or other materials not meeting specifications.
• Inspect, clean, and sanitize totes and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Prepare totes for finished product by lining with bags.
• Weigh tote containers to verify ingredient quantities.
• Notify supervisor of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Fill out necessary paperwork.
• Plant clean-up.
• Hand palletize (stack) finished goods onto pallet.
• Operate sizer.
• Sort and package product, poke stems, cut stems and other tasks on moving lines/belts.
• Other tasks as assigned
