Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Hart, Michigan is seeking a 2nd Shift General Labor/Processing employee to help ready totes, inspect materials, and support production on moving lines. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position offers competitive pay of $19.91 per hour, full-time hours (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm start, 8–10 hour shifts) and a benefits package including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills and clear communication required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare totes for processing by removing covers and opening bags prior to loading tank.
• Repair and/or reject totes or other materials not meeting specifications.
• Inspect, clean, and sanitize totes and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Prepare totes for finished product by lining with bags.
• Weigh tote containers to verify ingredient quantities.
• Notify supervisor of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Fill out necessary paperwork.
• Plant clean-up.
• Hand palletize (stack) finished goods onto pallet.
• Operate sizer.
• Sort and package product, poke stems, cut stems and other tasks on moving lines/belts.
• Other tasks as assigned
