Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Housekeeping Technician in Wright City, MO for a 1st shift role from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The position offers potential for hire by the client company.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing breakrooms and restrooms, operating floor scrubbing equipment, and reporting maintenance concerns. Prior janitorial experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience operating floor scrubbers or similar cleaning equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety and cleaning chemical usage.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and reach while performing cleaning duties.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to push and pull cleaning carts, trash bins, and floor scrubber equipment.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and work with cleaning chemicals daily.
• Work environment with varying temperatures and odors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize breakrooms, including tables, countertops, sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and trash receptacles.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms by replenishing supplies, sanitizing fixtures, mopping floors, and removing waste.
• Operate floor scrubber and other floor care equipment to clean and maintain facility flooring.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Monitor and restock janitorial and restroom supplies as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors, doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.
• Support scheduled deep cleaning projects in production areas, offices, hallways, and common spaces.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in clean and proper working conditions.
