Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues independently.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with staff and management.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Inspect facilities and equipment for maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Preventive maintenance on mechanical systems including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments.
• Repair plumbing systems; fix leaks, clogs, and drainage issues.
• Perform minor electrical repairs; coordinate with licensed electricians for major repairs.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems; troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage SDS and hazardous materials.
• Document maintenance work and prepare reports for Facilities Manager.
• Respond to emergencies; assist in emergency response plans and procedures.
• Support setup/breakdown for events and coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain organized inventory and order parts as needed.
• Participate in training to improve technical skills.
