Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring for a Full-Time, 1st Shift Custodian with 40 hours per week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, and every other weekend rotation. This role involves cleaning patient areas, bathrooms, and public spaces to high standards in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED (preferred) and about one year of cleaning experience. Union-friendly environment with emphasis on safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• 1. Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing, windows, floors, and restrooms.
• 2. Handles cleaning chemicals and disposables; some outdoor cleaning possible.
• 3. Collects waste, replaces sharps containers, and manages recyclables.
• 4. Maintains and reports equipment issues to maintenance staff.
• 5. Keeps safe and clean working environment per procedures and infection control guidelines.
• 6. Attends required in-service trainings and safety updates.
• 7. Demonstrates ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
