Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a dedicated environmental services worker for the third shift. This full-time role involves 40 hours per week, 12:00 am to 8:30 am, with every-other weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities include comprehensive cleaning, equipment handling and waste management while adhering to safety and infection control standards. High school diploma or GED preferred, with one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; restocking restrooms; replacing light bulbs; reporting repairs.
• Heavily uses cleaning chemicals and disinfectants; may assist with outdoor cleaning such as parking lots, windows and roof; ladder use may be required.
• Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash, changing sharps containers, transporting waste to compactors, recycling material and emptying cigarette receptacles.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports failures to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe working environment and adheres to procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Attends required in-service education and safety training to maintain knowledge.
• Demonstrates ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
