Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician for 1st shift (8:00 am–4:30 pm). The role requires completing assigned cleaning tasks, handling chemicals safely, and following infection control guidelines. Expect every-other-weekend shifts and holiday rotations with a 40-hour work week.

Benefits eligible; pay range $18.85–$28.30 hourly, with opportunities for premium pay and incentive adjustments based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas: dusting, sanitizing, washing windows, walls, ceilings, floors, carpet, and restrooms; replenishes supplies and reports repairs.
• Handles cleaning chemicals and disinfectants; indoor work with possibility of outdoor cleaning including parking lots, windows and roof; may require ladder use.
• Removes waste, handles sharps, and transports waste to proper containers and compactors; recycles as needed.
• Keeps equipment clean, reports equipment failures or other issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe working environment and adheres to infection control guidelines and departmental standards.
• Attends in-service training including safety updates to maintain technical knowledge.
• Demonstrates ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.
