Job summary

Ashers Chocolate Co. is seeking a production operator to run enrobing and cooling tunnels, melters, and tempering units. You will record quality data, manage raw materials in the ERP system, and ensure accurate material return to the correct lot numbers throughout each shift.

You will follow GMP and quality guidelines, coordinate with maintenance for repairs, and assist with changeovers and scheduling to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1-3 years related experience and/or training suggested.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend in English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) required.

Responsibilities

• Operate enrobing and cooling tunnels to coat and temper chocolate.
• Operate melters and tempering units; record critical quality data.
• Maintain inventory on the production floor based on daily usage and orders.
• Adjust devices and control instruments on enrobers and tempering units for proper operation.
• Inspect regularly and coordinate with maintenance for repairs to prevent breakdowns.
• Use the ERP system (ROSS) to issue raw material to production jobs.
• Return leftovers to the correct LPN and Lot numbers before a new order starts.
• Communicate downtime or finish times to kitchen/packaging via Microsoft Teams.
• Assist with changeovers and equipment adjustments as needed.
• Support production scheduling and associate assignments as directed.
