Job summary

Eaton’s GEIS division is seeking a 1st Shift Distribution Center Supervisor for our Roanoke, VA facility. The role is onsite with hours 6AM–3:30PM and no relocation offered.

Lead floor operations, drive safety, accuracy and productivity, and work with hourly associates, support staff and external partners to meet daily shipping and receiving goals. You will interview and onboard new team members, manage time and attendance, coach performance and be an active member of the site leadership team,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree approved for the role and leadership experience.
• Experience leading distribution center teams and daily operations.
• SAP and WMS knowledge preferred; Lean/Six Sigma helpful.
• Ability to coach, interview, onboard, and manage attendance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily distribution center floor operations to ensure safety, accuracy and productivity.
• Provide support to team members and guide inquiries to proper sources.
• Interview and onboard new team members and ensure proper training.
• Manage time and attendance; offer coaching on performance and policy.
• Be an active site leader and champion operational changes.
• Identify process-improvement opportunities and track performance metrics.
