Job summary

Eaton’s GEIS division seeks a 1st Shift Distribution Center Supervisor for our Roanoke, VA facility, onsite with hours 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Relocation is not provided. The role oversees daily DC floor operations, leadership of the team, and process improvements to meet shipping goals.

The candidate will supervise, coach, interview and train staff, manage attendance, and participate in site leadership initiatives. Local residency within 50 miles of Roanoke is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience.
• No relocation is offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Roanoke, VA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the distribution center floor operations, ensuring safety, accuracy and productivity.
• Provide support to the team by answering questions and guiding to the right information sources; foster growth and development.
• Assist in interviewing and selecting new team members and ensure proper training for roles.
• Manage time and attendance for the team.
• Offer coaching regarding performance and company policies.
• Be an active member of the site’s leadership team and support site initiatives and changes.
• Engage the team to identify process improvements and champion changes.
• Track or create performance indicators to improve operations and service to customers.
