Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Die Setter for the 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) to join our Auburn Hills, MI facility. The Die Setter will manage machine set-ups on primary and secondary equipment, perform mold changes, and support production schedules while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include solving die-related issues, wiring hydraulics and pneumatics as needed, maintaining die storage, completing paperwork, and following OSHA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous die setting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow production schedules and instructions.
• Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes according to the production schedule, including emergency changes.
• Set up die functions (watering, knockout, hot runner, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.).
• Repair fluid or air leaks relating to dies.
• Handle die insert changes, pulling/resetting die halves for repair, and loading/unloading die trucks.
• Maintain the organization of die storage and die-setting supplies.
• Complete initial shooting of die sets when required.
• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Follow OSHA, safety rules, and all USF policies and procedures.

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Die Setter to join our team on 3rd shift. The Die Setter is responsible for machine set-ups on both primary and secondary equipment, including scheduled and unscheduled changes. This role is critical to maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.
