Job summary

Sun Hydraulics in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Finishing Operator to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, finishing machined parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will keep records, manage equipment and supplies, and collaborate with production teams to meet commitments. A high school diploma (GED) is required; technical training and 2+ years of machining experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• GD&T interpretation of blueprints and drawings to set up machines.
• Ability to read work orders and reference points with precision.
• Fundamental math, geometry, and trigonometry for machining tasks.
• Positive, proactive attitude toward completing work orders and learning.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
• Set up machines including tool changes, offsets, and switches.
• Maintain equipment with preventative maintenance per manufacturer guidance.
• Verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts.
• Take measurements to maintain specifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust controls, and replace worn tools.
• Follow safety procedures and document actions in logs.
• Seek opportunities to improve the work area and processes.
