Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and specifications.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes and milling machines.
• Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications.
• Setup, adjust and operate basic machine tools and equipment for precision machining.
• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
• Check parts for proper lubrication, cooling, and tolerance conformance.
• Measure and inspect completed units using precision instruments like micrometers.
• Maintain and document in-process inspection data.
