Job summary

Aerotek East Syracuse, NY is seeking a capable Assembler to perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic sub-assemblies on a high-volume line. You will interpret diagrams, follow standardized work instructions, and use hand and power tools to build and inspect components.

You will be part of a safety‑focused team, meeting takt times, documenting quality metrics, and supporting continuous improvement in a structured manufacturing environment with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read diagrams and standard work instructions.
• Experience operating cranes/hoists to move materials.
• Skill in inspecting and testing assemblies for specs.
• Ability to identify defects via visual inspection.
• Ability to rework or repair damaged parts.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing preferred.
• Comfort working on an assembly line.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rebuild, and reassemble sub-assemblies following diagrams and work instructions.
• Safely operate cranes and hoists to move materials.
• Assemble components in sequence within takt time.
• Inspect and test finished products for function and specs.
• Measure and identify defects using visual checks and boundary samples.
• Rework or replace damaged parts and non-conforming material.
• Maintain documentation on quality and productivity.
• Complete tasks accurately within timelines.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
