Job summary

Filtration Group in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Advanced Machine Operator to set up and operate trim presses, drilling, tapping, and related equipment. The role includes troubleshooting and training others as needed, with emphasis on producing quality parts.

You will maintain records, follow safety rules, and work with the Production Lead to meet daily targets. The position requires ability to stand or sit up to 8 hours, and flexibility in hours. Prior shop experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and count.
• Good hand eye coordination. Effective communication skills
• Must be able to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• To perform any of the machine operations as assigned by the Production Lead or Production Manager.
• Has the ability and proficiency to setup and operate assigned machine(s) in department/cell.
• Works in quality conscious and safe manner.
• Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
• Advises Production Lead or Production Manager of any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operation.
• Maintains daily product and scrap records.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Production Lead.
• Keeps workstation and surrounding area clean.
• Maintain all assigned tools.
• Any other duties required by management.
