Job summary

Filtration Group in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Advanced Machine Operator to operate and set up trim presses, drilling and tapping, port and stem, vibratory systems, and parts washing. The role requires cross training and the ability to troubleshoot equipment to produce quality parts.

The position emphasizes independence with minimal supervision and may involve training less experienced operators. Candidates should be capable of a tall workload while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and count.
• Good hand eye coordination. Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine operations as assigned by the Production Lead or Production Manager.
• Ability to setup and operate assigned machines in the department/cell.
• Work in a quality-conscious and safe manner.
• Maintain work pace at process speeds and standard rates.
• Inform Production Lead or Production Manager of any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operations.
• Maintain daily product and scrap records.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area clean.
• Maintain all assigned tools.
• Other duties required by management.
