Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is looking for an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) to support basic life safety under the direction of an EMT. You will respond to emergency calls in accordance with state standards and established protocols.

This PRN position includes rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays and pays $18.00–$23.50 per hour. Responsibilities include acting as driver or secondary patient attendant, performing duties within scope of practice, maintaining skills, and

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license upon hire.
• Active Emergency Medical Responder certification (MEMSRB).
• Visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays.

A Brief Overview

Accountable for basic life support service under the direction of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and makes emergency response calls in accordance with the established state standards and following standing orders and department protocols.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire and
• Emergency Medical Responder - Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (MEMSRB) An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire

• High School or GED Equivalent
