Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking a First Party Property Litigation Attorney for an onsite role in Colorado. The attorney will handle homeowner insurance disputes, including hail, wind, fire and water damage, from inception through resolution, with a focus on strong litigation and negotiation skills.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of litigation experience, are admitted to the Colorado Bar, and can draft pleadings, motions, and depositions. DOE + bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Member of the Colorado Bar and in good standing
• First Party Property Damage experience is a plus
• Experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Ability to draft pleadings, motions, discovery and other legal documents
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration

Responsibilities

• Handle first party homeowner property insurance claims involving hail, wind, fire and water damage
• Represent homeowners in disputes with insurance companies throughout Colorado
