Orion Placement is seeking an experienced attorney to join our growing plaintiff-side litigation team specializing in homeowners' property loss and insurance disputes. You will manage first-party property damage matters from intake through resolution, and collaborate with seasoned attorneys, paralegals, and staff to deliver outstanding client service.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctor, at least 2 years of litigation experience, excellent writing and negotiation skills, and the ability to

• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage first-party property damage litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent homeowners in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions of insureds, adjusters, experts, and corporate representatives.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration.
• Represent clients at hearings, court appearances, and trial as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case strategy and progress.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to deliver outstanding client service.
• Stay current on developments in applicable state insurance law and first-party property litigation.

Location

Full-time, on-site opportunities available in Denver, Colorado and Houston, Texas. Join a collaborative office where you'll work closely with an experienced litigation team while advocating for homeowners.

Note

Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with either the Colorado Bar (for Denver) or the Texas Bar (for Houston) and have at least 2 years of litigation experience. Experience handling first-party property damage or insurance litigation is highly preferred but not required.
