Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. seeks an associate attorney to join our First Party Property practice group in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on sinkhole, water, wind, and other property damage claims across Florida, handling depositions, motions, hearings, and trials.

The candidate will perform legal research, draft pleadings, and communicate with clients and experts. Florida Bar admission and strong communication skills are required; litigation experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida Bar member.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required.

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks an associate attorney to join our First Party Property practice group. Our First Party Property group is at the forefront of handling sinkhole damage, water damage, wind damage, fire damage, and other property damage claims throughout the state of Florida.

Responsibilities:

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required
